Global Packaging Solutions Ltd. (GPS) is a company of Teck Keung manufacturing Limited and for over 30 years, GPS has been a top choice as reclosable manufacturers for major private label packaging companies. In year 2006, our revenue reached $10 million and this has been achieved through unique technoligies and consistent manufacturing excellence. During last year, we made major strides and reached a new pinnacle for producing zipper and leak resistant slider in China.
GPS aims to build upon our status as a creative partner through encouraging our employees to embrace an attitude of open-mindedness and continuous learning. We are driven to evaluate new perspectives, ideas, practices, and processes that challenge us to improve our performance.
EVENTS:
1973 - TECK KEUNG MANUFACTURING LTD (TKL) as founded as one of the first reclosable bag manufacturers in Hong Kong.
1979 - TKL diversified into the hardware trade gaining a sole agency right to an Australian hardware company (now an ITW company). During the 80s had the company seen a decade of development and steady growth in both packaging and hardware divisions.
1989 - TKL moved the factory from Hong Kong to Shenzhen, China.
1995 - TKL acquired another sole agency right to a Brazilian padlock manufacturer.
2000 - marked one important milestone of TKL when the factory moved from Shenzhen to Wuxi, officially merging the two businesses under one roof.
2004 - TKL setup a new sales & marketing office in Shanghai, another window where the West meets the East.
2005 - GLOBAL PACKAGING SOURCES LTD. (GPS) was incorporated and took over from TECK KEUNG MANUFACTURING LTD. (TKL) TKL the Flexible Packaging division.
2005 - Installed US-made automatic slider applicator
2005 - Establishment of R & D center
2006 - Obtained patent on leak-resistant slider
Late 2006 - Install US-made zipper profile co-extruder with fully automatic dual turret winder
2007 - To give the company much broader coverage the name of company Global Packaging Sources was changed to GLOBAL PACKAGING SOLUTIONS LTD.
